ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY:
World Relief seeks a Match Grant Specialist to provide critical services and counsel to refugees and other eligible persons as they navigate initial employment opportunities or seek career advancement. This role is integral to helping clients achieve economic self-sufficiency by preparing them for employment, connecting them with job opportunities, and guiding them in their career development.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build relationships with new employers to advocate for the hiring of clients.
- Research job opportunities beyond entry-level positions and identify vocational training options.
- Guide clients in career paths to achieve their professional goals.
- Attend employment training to learn best practices for client employment support.
- Maintain regular communication with clients through home visits, phone calls, and office visits.
- Ensure compliance with RSS Employment Guidelines by monitoring client files and documentation.
- Update employment information in the ClientTrack database weekly.
- Keep detailed and accurate case notes for all client interactions. Assist clients in developing resumes, letters of recommendation, and job applications.
- Attend scheduled meetings and maintain regular office hours.
- Provide transportation for clients to interviews, orientations, and employment as needed.
- Assist clients with employment forms, drug screening tests, and obtaining state documentation.
- Foster relationships with employers and communicate issues back to the Program Manager.
- Equip clients to conduct independent job searches.
- Support clients in job retention and career advancement as needed.
- Refer clients to additional programs and services as appropriate.
- Conduct initial employment orientation sessions for refugees, updating content as needed.
- Transport clients to job interviews.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Mature and personal Christian faith
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in an additional language such as Spanish, French, Arabic, Swahili, Lingala, Farsi, Dari, or Pashto is preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Bachelor’s degree or at least one year of experience in an office environment.
- Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
