When developing sensor networks, simulations are often used as an explorative tool to iterate system concepts and evaluate system feasibility. Simulators can also be a valuable tool to understand physical phenomena and emergent behavior in complex system of systems designs. One of the main goals of this project is to analyse behavior in multi-sensor networks.
Your assignment will be to explore technological concepts of radar systems networks using simulations. The knowledge gained from your work will be used for further technological advancement and product development of future radar systems and sensor network solutions.
The work includes project management, researching state of the art technologies of radar simulation, development of simulation environment, and evaluation of simulation results.
The position is for conducting a master's thesis with the aim of earning a master's diploma within Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Mechatronics, or similar. Applications with two candidates working as a pair are preferred (mention in your application who you are applying together with). If you apply individually, you might be paired with another single applicant.
You reside in Sweden and are studying at a Swedish university. You must be able to carry out a majority of the thesis work at the AFRY office in Solna.
To be able to succeed with the thesis work you must have a good level of English, both oral and written
