Continental Group in recent years is aligning its technology to fit the Industry 4.0 framework. One of the key pillars of Industry 4.0 is the quantity and the quality of data being used for various use-cases. These use-cases can be used for the generation of alarms, process monitoring or material traceability. The main goal of the project is to enhance the current interface that interacts with different machine profiles in order to simulate our manufacturing environment by adding missing test cases: losses, alarms, material validation and tooling validation and traceability.
Continental's current environment for simulating productive scenarios is limited by its inability to automatically replicate identical test conditions across all released versions. The diverse machinery used in Continental plants further complicates manual testing, making the process difficulty and prone to inconsistencies.
The primary goal of this internship is to enhance the existing interface to create a flexible and configurable environment. This environment will be capable of interacting with different machine profiles through an OPC UA connection, thus enabling more accurate and consistent testing across various machine types.
Scope and Requirements:
Recreate the productive environment by creating CSMI integration signals for a particular machine type.
Use an OPC UA server to write/read CSMI signals.
Consume configurations that include production speed, quantity, and number of flagging triggers.
