The Master Data Business Analyst is a core member of the Master Data Management team. They support Victaulic’s ongoing Master Data Governance initiative to improve the quality, trust, and access to business-critical data. The Master Data Business Analyst, working with cross-functional teams, leads and actively participates in business, process and data mapping sessions, developing documentation, and identifying the rules and processes by which our data should be governed. They provide analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills to identify and evaluate how data flows through the business process within the various departments across the company to eliminate gaps and optimize the flow of data. Your strong communications skills allow you to gain trust and buy-in at every level, creating a culture of data integrity, data quality, and appropriate access to data and it’s usage. A manufacturing background is STRONGLY preferred for this position. This is an onsite position in Easton, PA and NOT eligible for relocation assistance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Lead and participate in cross-functional master data attribute definition and mapping sessions. Assist in defining and resolving gaps in data processes, governance, and quality.
- Assist in the process of mapping, consolidating, and cleansing the data and data flow diagrams that come from the mapping sessions.
- Develop various documents including but not limited to discovery documentation, standard operating procedures, process maps and scope of work.
- Educate the Victaulic community on data literary and core elements of master data management.
- Develop and deliver training materials and programs for a variety of business users.
- Assist in the workflow design and documentation and end user documentation for the MDM systems and governance process.
- Identify process improvement and data flow opportunities within the business, and assist in developing solutions to streamline and eliminate gaps.
- Understand the data and change management challenges, communicate with the Business, IT, and the MDM team.
- Develop MDM system test plans, identify test resources, plan testing, oversee testing, complete testing, etc.
- Assist in the development of data governance policies, and standards for review and approval by the governance organizations.

Analyze data to find trends, correlations, outliers, and variations that tell a story to inform decisions, data validation and data integrity.
- Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
- Manage competing resources and priorities.
- Monitor and manage deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Assist in strategic planning and prioritization of team tasks.
- Be available for occasional weekend work for system releases
- Demonstrate proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to support the development of business processes, data capture and migration ensuring that project deliverables are met according to specifications.
Requirements
- Experience working for a manufacturing company Strongly preferred
- 4-year college degree in a related field
- 5 years in a business process/analyst role
- Knowledge of Victaulic product data
- Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal and customer service skills required
- Experience with Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Microsoft Project, Visio
- Familiarity with ERP systems from a process and data flow perspective
- Experience with MDM concepts and/or systems preferred, but not required
