Takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Marketplace Program Manager: Brand Program to join our team in Cape Town.

This is a position reporting to the Marketplace Operations Manager.
Your responsibilities will include
- Design and implement processes for the onboarding of new brands.
- Develop and implement initiatives to support brand development and growth.
- Negotiate and manage current growth incentive contracts, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams to launch and manage new growth incentives for brands, aligning with our marketplace's integrity and appeal.
- Design and execute commercial solutions that incentivize brand investments in stock, marketing, and advertising, enhancing their visibility and success on our platform.
- Develop strategies for brand protection, including for sellers with approved trademarks, authorized resellers, and those with trademarks in progress.
- Collaborate with Legal, Promotions and Marketing teams to design features, services, and operational solutions that support brand investments and retention.
- Ensuring robust brand-level controls with sellers
- Monitor and report on the performance of growth, making strategic adjustments on incentives and/or current fees, to meet revenue targets and enhance the seller and Takealot brand profitability

- Strong with data and analytics
- Strong leadership and cross functional management skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field
- Additional qualification in project management preferred
- 3+ years of experience in e-commerce, retail, or brand marketing
- Experience in contracts, rebates and negotiations
- Proven ability to design and execute new processes, strategies, and commercial solutions
