Marketplace Associate Manager

In your role you will be responsible for negotiating and purchasing of media. Activities include plan development and investment maintenance; working with our teams to develop recommendations for client campaigns; tracking all aspects of campaign (i.e. authorizations, specifications, reports, buy changes, etc.); collaborating with Insights team on reporting and analysis to benchmark and value reporting; and managing relationships with media partners.

Key Relationships
 
Internal Departments: Foster deep trust and understanding with agency client, strategic and performance teams.
Media Owners: Establish strong relationships with our media partners at a Sales Executive level.
Clients & External: Establish a deep understanding of our client’s business to develop strong relationships with key external contacts. (Eg. clients, auditors, creative, verification partners).
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Take the lead in delivering best in class campaigns, in line with all planned parameters, in an efficient, effective, compliant, and future facing way, in line with Marketplace best practice.
  • Lead the development and presentation of insightful and progressive post analysis reports.
  • Engage with our media partners to expand your knowledge of the media landscape and understanding of core media principles and the capabilities of each media touchpoint.  
  • Engage with internal product teams including GroupM proprietary solutions teams to ensure you have a robust understanding about their offerings and relevance to our clients and can clearly articulate the benefits of their inclusion.  
  • Responsible for ensuring all financial and compliance processes are followed by you and your direct reports, with 100% accuracy.  
  • Lead initiatives to improve both agency and client capabilities, working across vendors and partners to achieve success. Seek to find, communicate and implement improvements in all aspects of the role.
  • Proactively identify and drive innovation and best practice opportunities within your teams.
  • When required, a strict adherence to buying commitments that have client contract association.
  • Support the planning team in the development of strong media plans that meet client objectives and KPIs.
  • Motivate & develop direct reports to achieve individual, team and organisational goals.  
 
Experience
  • Strong knowledge of the media landscape
  • Relevant experience in Media or Marketing
  • Confident in presenting in front of clients, is able to answer questions and demonstrate an informed opinion
  • Identifies new ways of working/processes/managing projects to deliver efficiencies
And relevant opportunities for clients and pro-actively puts forward recommendations
