Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist to work in our Downtown Los Angeles Headquarters. In this role, you will work with the Vice President of Business Development & Brand to implement consumer growth and brand strategies designed to achieve the agency’s client recruitment and retention goals – including market research and analysis, customer service strategies, paid advertising, and branding.

Our Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, & Microsoft Access.
  • Experience working in the field of healthcare, preferably in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year in marketing, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required. 
  • Ability and willingness to travel within Los Angeles County.
  • Reliable means of transportation for onsite and off-site work.
  • If using a personal vehicle to drive for work purposes, a valid CA driver license and current auto insurance in compliance with the minimum requirements of CA vehicle code are required.

About the position:

  • Abortion patients are cared for at each of our health centers, and in part through the administrative, support, and other non-clinical services provided at all PPLA locations, and by all PPLA employees. Supporting these critical services is an essential job duty, and a fundamental responsibility of all employees and contractors.
  • In collaboration with the VP and the consumer growth team develop, implement, and analyze client recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Manage implementation and marketing plan corresponding flow charts and KPIs.
  • Provide marketing analytic support including, but not limited to, reviewing KPIs and developing corresponding dashboards to visually illustrate data.
  • Conduct local market research including, but not limited to public health data, social determinants of health data, competitor analysis and audience segmentation.
  • Develop presentations and provide reports based on information collected to support agency’s marketing strategic goals.
  • Implement organic tactics, paid advertising, and consumer engagement programs.
  • Support the development of analogue marketing materials as needed to support patient and consumer education – while protecting and amplifying the PPLA brand.
  • Maintain and promote awareness of best practices and trends in marketing.
  • Provide project management support to members of the marketing team.
  • Support with consumer growth and engagement efforts as needed including, but not limited to, website updates, social content development, and consumer engagement and education efforts.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the VP of Business Development & Brand.

  • Hiring Range: $70,000 - $85,000 (Exempt)
