What will you be doing?
In this role, you will lead marketing activities with Argus’ portfolio of 3rd party data partners/redistributors. You will build strong relationships with each partner, identifying opportunities for joint partner target markets, value propositions and go-to-market strategies. Working closely with Product and Regional Marketing colleagues you will develop and execute tactical marketing campaigns to grow Argus’ footprint across key market sectors. In this role you will need to be innovative and challenge our way of thinking, to inspire both marketing and sales to succeed.
This is a new position due to our growth. You will be able to bring your best practices and to drive your ideas in collaboration with the teams across our global business. S/he will work closely the VP Global Partnerships and the wider partnerships team.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and understand the opportunities and overlaps with each partner in order to maximise Argus’ reach.
- Develop strategic marketing plans for each partner which align to our sector and regional priorities.

Oversee the implementation of the marketing strategy for each partner, working closely with global and regional marketing colleagues to deliver joint partner marketing activities that build our brand and deliver high quality sales leads.
- Create strong and engaging collateral, training aids and sales enablement tools to provide to the partner sales teams to help them sell Argus better.
- Develop the cadence of direct communications with key partners and build deep and lasting relationships.
- Identify new data partners in the energy transition space and nurture new relationship to help drive awareness to our coverage of these emerging markets.
- Work with Partners to develop jointly branded customer success stories that highlight the companies’ value proposition.
- Own reporting for partner activities, ensuring key stakeholders are kept well informed, while analysing campaign data to seek improvements in sales lead conversion rates to revenue capture.

Collaborate and coordinate with other functional departments within marketing such as regional, creative and technology in order to project one shared marketing voice.
- Establish efficient working relationships with key internal teams: Global Partnership Relations, Product Marketing, Regional Marketing, Global Sales, Business Development, Editorial.
- Responsible for managing allocated marketing budget, adhering to established marketing processes, generating new ideas, being the brand ambassador for partner collaborations.
- Develop an understanding of the competitive landscape and engage with internal stakeholders to best position the value of Argus’ offering.
- Demonstrate nimble work habits whereby you seize upon fast-breaking market trends or movements to produce timely and topical marketing campaigns.
What we’re looking for in you
- Have strong channel partner marketing experience, with proven experience of B2B marketing, preferably in commodity markets, or information services; international marketing experience is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of the process for identifying joint partner target markets, value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
- Have worked closely with senior partner leadership teams to develop strategies and sales tools that support joint partner programs and sales pipeline.
- Have a strong command of the English language and an appreciation for the written word; excellent English written, and communication skills are a must.
- Have a strong commercial background, understanding of demand generation principles and developing go-to-market strategies.
- Are naturally curious and are interested to learn about commodity markets and price reporting agencies, with a base-level knowledge of the markets that Argus serves.
- You are self-directed to continuously adapt to achieve strategic goals.
- Have high attention to detail and produce quality work in a timely manner.
- Are willing to work with people at all levels of the organization—from the CEO to the interns.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years related B2B channel partner marketing experience, ideally with commodity markets experience

Able to navigate a complex environment involving stakeholders in various business functions and regions

Able to balance the desires of the stakeholders with the needs of the Argus business and marketing objectives
- Commercially driven and ambitious to prove the ROI of marketing campaigns
- Complex project management experience
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferably in marketing)
- Metric driven and can draw insight from complex marketing data to feed into marketing strategies
- Pragmatic and good at building strong relationships across multiple teams, including with sales, business leaders and with content experts
- Ability to effectively communicate marketing strategy plans to leaders and stakeholders
- Strong written communication and analytical skills
- Others: energetic/positive, good communicator, detail and result oriented, planning and management skills, readily adaptable to changing market and organizational requirements, customer focussed, and goal/results oriented
