Role Essentials
We are seeking a talented Marketing Manager to spearhead our social media and content integration initiatives, shaping a cohesive and engaging digital presence. This role reports to the Director of Marketing & Strategic Partnerships. This position requires someone with outstanding communication, collaboration, and creative skills to develop a content plan to maximize the National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions brand. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital content ecosystems, social media performance optimization, and the art of creating captivating content that resonates with diverse audiences.
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager who excels in community engagement, content development, and integrated marketing planning. This role is pivotal in ensuring our social media efforts are seamlessly embedded into our overall messaging strategy. In this role, you will partner closely with the Marketing Manager of Strategic Partnerships to maintain consistency and optimize content across National Geographic Partners. Additionally, you will lead cross-departmental initiatives to ensure a unified brand experience, leveraging data analytics to inform strategy and enhance engagement across all platforms. Your expertise in paid digital advertising will be essential in driving targeted campaigns and maximizing ROI.
Role Responsibilities

Strategic Development & Internal Collaboration: Design and implement integrated marketing strategies that incorporate social media into overall messaging. Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager of Strategic Partnerships to ensure alignment with National Geographic. Partner with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and optimize content across channels.Work with product, design, and other marketing teams to ensure a unified brand experience across all touchpoints.

Content Creation & Community Management: Lead the creation of engaging, high-quality content across multiple digital platforms, ensuring that all content reflects the brand voice and resonates with target audiences. Develop and execute strategies for effective content distribution to maximize reach and engagement. Elevate our integrated content strategy by evaluating platforms to provide direction on how maximize our content reach, engagement and return by channel.Optimize paid social media advertising campaigns across various platforms to drive targeted traffic and conversions. Analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies to maximize ROI and achieve marketing objectives.

Trend Analysis & Reporting: Monitor social media and content performance using analytics tools. Derive actionable insights to refine marketing strategies and enhance overall effectiveness. Provide monthly reporting to executive leadership.

Trend Analysis and Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in social media, content marketing, and advertising. Apply insights from research to enhance and innovate marketing strategies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in social media community management and marketing integration
- Experience with social media management tools (such as Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.) and content management systems
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics to optimize content based on analytics
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills, with an ability to tailor content to different audiences
- Work closely with media and creative agencies
- Provide direction and feedback to agency partners to optimize creative assets and media placements

COMPENSATION STATEMENT
Lindblad Expeditions determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s location, level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
