About the role

MATTER’s marketing team drives growth by attracting entrepreneurs and corporate partners through content, events and communications across various channels. We seek a collaborative and passionate marketing manager to help scale these efforts.

The ideal candidate has experience creating and managing successful marketing campaigns that align with organizational goals. In this role, you'll handle creative development, copywriting, website management, campaign strategy, project management, PR, advertising, event support, video editing and other marketing tasks. You'll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to craft content and campaigns that grow our audience and enhance MATTER’s brand.

Success in this role requires creativity, strong writing, brand and product marketing knowledge, and excellent project management. You should thrive in fast-paced settings and be comfortable taking ownership of goals and strategies.

This role reports to the marketing director, part of MATTER’s leadership team.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead targeted campaigns to generate leads, optimize funnels and attract quality prospects using data-driven strategies.
  • Plan and manage marketing campaigns from concept to execution.
  • Optimize organic and paid channels such as content creation, PPC, events, PR, social media and performance metrics.
  • Create engaging content for the website and blog to attract and convert target audiences.
  • Collaborate with teams and experts to develop white papers, blog posts, case studies, newsletters and events.
  • Set, track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in marketing communications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field
  • Knowledge of AP Style Guide
  • Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools (HubSpot preferred)
  • Background in healthcare, innovation or startups is a plus

Skills:

  • Strong writing and editing
  • Graphic design and visual storytelling
  • Multimedia content creation (blog, video, digital design)
  • SEO expertise
  • Video editing (Final Cut, Premiere, etc.)
  • Data analysis and management
