Marketing Manager - D2C Professionals

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for our direct to customer marketing for professional customers. You’ll develop and brief marketing strategies to get the right books in front of the right customers, by building the best campaigns for our books and authors.

You’ll need to be creative and innovative to engage and retain these customers. Your focus is driving results and delivering revenue is your key target. You’ll need to be very focussed and use data to lead your decisions and activity, tailoring what you do to where you’ll drive the best results.

What you will be doing:

  • Define and implement marketing plans for a Professional audience.
  • Align marketing activities to revenue targets for the areas of focus.
  • Track, monitor and measure success, developing reporting as required.
  • Collaborate internally across the global marketing team and with other internal functions to ensure alignment of initiatives with business objectives.
  • Manage the relevant budget, ensuring investment is placed in high value/return areas.
  • Work with specialist teams to ensure relevant content and adaptation based on customer needs, setting high standards for planning and deliverables.
  • Make informed recommendations using data, and take advantage of opportunities, being flexible and adaptable, making the most of what drives results.
  • Assess and manage the professionals email automations, ensuring relevance and results.
  • Identify the market opportunities vs our strengths to best target revenue opportunities.
  • Brief content / campaign pages and blog posts with the content team.
  • Brief email & Social Media campaigns, ensuring they are customer focussed and link to an appropriate journey, supporting revenue objectives.
  • Act as Professionals champion within the ecomm team to make recommendations for ecommerce activities.
  • Develop and execute omnichannel marketing strategies to reach professional customers

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience with marketing campaigns in an ecommerce trading environment
  • Proven record in executing campaigns that are engaging and drive revenue
  • Able to plan end to end campaigns with a strong focus on a great customer experience
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, & present data & recommendations in an appropriate manner
  • Ability to work in a complicated structure with many stakeholders, ensuring good communication and agreement at all levels
  • Great attention to details
  • Work autonomously with minimal supervision

Additional Information:

This role is based in the UK on a hybrid working model, occasional travel will be required.
