The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and understanding of the market and know our competitors.  Be an excellent communicator with excellent customer service skills who can quickly navigate and help the sales teams navigate any situation to reach desired goals. Ultimately, you will work with leaders across our sales and marketing teams to ensure our organization achieves our occupancy and revenue goals.

Our unique 5 STARS service:

  • Lead and develop sales teams for high achievement.
  • Develop and manage sales budgets with the Senior Director of Marketing and COO.
  • Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Motivate the sales teams to achieve set goals.
  • Act as a bridge between the sales team and operations leaders to achieve a company wide culture of sales and service.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of competitors and market demographics to facilitate budget and sales strategies.
  • Provide regular onsite training and coaching for the sales teams.
  • Develop reporting tools on sales metrics for BRS leaders and the Board of Directors.

As a 5 STARS associate, you’ll bring to the team:

  • Requires in-depth understanding of a specialized, comprehensive field of knowledge. Involves the ability to define problems, draw conclusions and make decisions dealing with abstract variables. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study required.
  • Requires at least 5 years prior related experience in senior level marketing in a related field. Requires a minimum of 5 years prior related proven conceptual sales experience. Prior related experience in a long-term care organization with multi-sites, and/or a geriatric nursing facility preferred. Extensive knowledge of senior adult housing options required. Extensive professional working knowledge of admissions criteria and processes throughout the continuum of care preferred.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills normally attained through sales and marketing training.
  • Requires proficient working experience developing and leading successful teams.
  • Requires proficient ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions dealing with abstract variables.
  • Prior related experience in a CCRC setting with knowledge of all levels of care preferred. Requires in-depth understanding of the various types of programs and service offerings of Buckner Retirement Services.
  • Requires ability to exercise independent professional judgment under broad nursing case guidelines.
  • Requires demonstrated ability to skillfully interview prospects or their representatives; ability to respond appropriately and creatively to potential buyer resistance to commit to community living. Requires demonstrated ability to employ various methods of closing to achieve desired results.
  • Requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English.
  • Requires ability to supervise others and hold others accountable for work completed; provide training, development and feedback to staff.
  • Requires ability to effectively manage personnel; requires administrative skills including staff selection, development, motivation, scheduling, and evaluation.
  • Requires a strong sense of diplomacy and demonstrated success in developing strong collaborative relationships with organizational peers and outside colleagues. Requires ability to relate positively, influentially, and sensitively to a broad spectrum of persons in many multi-tiered relationships and settings.
  • Requires recognized ability to meet multiple deadlines by maintaining a high level of organization.
  • Requires demonstrated strong assessment and analytical skills, including an ability to synthesize large amounts of information and to focus quickly on the essence of an issue; strong commitment to producing measurable results.
  • Requires ability to function in a fast-paced, high volume, multi-faced, results-oriented work environment and to analyze issues, identify priorities, manage projects and make decisions expeditiously.
  • Requires experience developing, directing and managing multiple projects and implementing strategic program goals.
  • Requires ability to provide strategic and logistical planning and facilitate meetings, training, and presentations as required.
  • Requires proficient conflict management and problem-solving skills. Requires proficient working knowledge and experience in conflict management and problem solving.
  • Requires ability to travel to various geographic locations using various modes of transportation with some overnight stays.
  • Requires ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all laws applicable; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under Buckner’s insurance policy. Requires ability to rent vehicles both domestically and internationally using required documentation. Must be age 21 or older to drive on behalf of Buckner.
  • Requires ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Requires proficient ability to exhibit detail-oriented skills necessary to understand and manage a wide-range of information.
  • Requires in-depth ability to plan, administer, and report budgets.
  • Requires proficient working knowledge of budgetary management and development of policies and procedures.
  • Requires ability to provide strategic and logistical planning and facilitate meetings, conferences, workshops, and retreats as required.
  • Proficient working knowledge and ability to accurately and timely operate and perform computer related tasks with specific equipment and software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook, required.
  • Requires commitment to Christian principles and teachings, so as to carry out tasks in alignment with Buckner’s mission, vision and values..
  • Requires ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds continuously to move objects.
  • Requires ability to walk frequently; occasionally stand for prolonged periods of time; occasionally required to squat, climb stairs, kneel and twist. Required to sit for prolonged periods of time, including extensive airline travel.
  • Requires ability to speak clearly and make self understood in face-to face interactions; to articulate with extreme accuracy and precisions to give directions speak on the phone, etc.
  • Requires ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Requires ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, trustees, vendors, residents, families, agency representatives, etc.
  • Requires ability to effectively work under pressure and remain flexible as priorities change; ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing and speak in front of groups.
  • Requires ability to work under minimal supervision; exercise sound judgment and confidentiality.
  • Requires sufficient good health to properly discharge duties. Employees shall not be permitted to work who have infectious disease or skin lesion for the duration of the communicability.
