The Event Marketing team at Nielsen specializes in creating top-tier event activations. The Marketing Events Specialist plays a crucial role in planning and executing events, aiming to strengthen brand value, generate ROI, and support sales initiatives.
This role involves working with various programs, such as sponsorships at major industry events and fully hosted client experiences. Key skills for success include strong organization, communication, project management, and a customer-focused approach.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The role is primarily focused on event project management (60%), which includes strategy development, task execution, budgeting, stakeholder and sponsor communication, and managing deliverables.
- The next major portion of the role is event execution (30%), including creative input, vendor management, team coordination, communication, and digital promotions.
- A smaller but important part of the role involves data analysis and reporting (10%), including audience segmentation and metrics tracking.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-4 years of experience in the event industry
- Advanced English Level
- Self-starter who takes initiative and demonstrates resourcefulness and critical thinking
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once and adhere to time-sensitive tasks
- Ability to interact with all levels of internal and external management
- Proficient in live and virtual events, aware of current trends, vendors, and best practices for delivering engaging events
- Proficiency with registration and event software including Google Suite and Splash
- A working knowledge of Salesforce is a plus
