Marketing Director, Organic Growth

The Marketing Director of Organic Growth will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive organic growth strategy, focused on non-paid channels such as SEO, content marketing(websites), email marketing, and social media.

This individual will lead cross-functional teams to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention by optimising the brand’s visibility, authority, and customer journey. They will work closely with product, paid marketing, brand, commercial, and analytics teams to deliver measurable growth, enhance the user experience, and build and retain a loyal customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Organic Growth Strategy:
  • Develop and lead the implementation of a holistic organic growth strategy across multiple channels (SEO, content, social, email, local websites) to drive sustainable growth.
  • Set clear goals and KPIs for organic growth efforts, with regular tracking and reporting of performance metrics.
  • Continuously optimise the strategy based on performance data, industry trends, and emerging opportunities.

  • Content & SEO Management:
  • Lead content creation strategies that align with SEO best practices, driving high-quality traffic to owned digital assets.
  • Collaborate with Content and Organic teams to ensure that all content is optimised for search engines and aligns with customer needs at various stages of the funnel.
  • Manage SEO efforts, including keyword research, on-page/off-page optimization, and technical SEO improvements.
  • Ownership of the Copy and Localisation teams to ensure we offer best in class content served in local languages

  • Social Media and Community Engagement:
  • Oversee organic social media strategy, focusing on building engagement, brand awareness, and community growth.
  • Manage social media channels to foster a loyal, engaged online community that contributes to the brand’s growth and credibility.
  • Develop strategies for influencer collaborations and partnerships that contribute to organic brand growth.

  • Customer Retention & Lifecycle Marketing:
  • Work with CS, Research and Product teams to enhance the customer journey, increasing retention, loyalty, and lifetime value.
  • Help define and implement email and CRM strategies to nurture leads and existing customers without relying on paid channels.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
  • Collaborate with product, sales, analytics, and design teams to align organic growth initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Lead a team of specialists in SEO, content marketing, social media, and email, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on organic growth
  • Proven track record of driving significant growth through non-paid channels in a B2C environment in either Fintech or other highly regulated environments
  • Extensive experience with SEO strategies, content marketing, social media management, and CRM/email marketing
  • Strong understanding of how to integrate organic growth strategies into broader marketing and business goals
  • Expertise in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc
  • Understanding of content management systems (CMS).
  • Understanding of Copy and Content creation, as well as Localistion processing
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM platforms
  • Understanding of website analytics, A/B testing, and customer segmentation strategies
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with product, design, analytics, and sales teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive performance in a fast-paced environment.
