Marketing and PR Senior Executive / Manager, China

In Asia Pacific, Mintel has been successfully delivering market intelligence and consumer insights for over 20 years. Based in Shanghai, The Senior Marketing and PR Executive/Manager, in China, will help to execute, implement and coordinate China-related marketing and some PR work, as well as support marketing initiatives in APAC region when asked to, in an effort to build Mintel’s brand awareness, generate sales leads to support revenue growth, and intensify the share of voices in the target industries in China.

 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Help execute, and implement China marketing strategies and programs, based on current brand positioning; build strong relationships with media stakeholders for story pitch; own and update media database within China for Mintel.
  • Develop content marketing based on key search words on the Mintel client platform and SEO search word ranking
  • Execute marketing initiatives like webinars, Mintel offline workshops and trade shows within China.
  • Respond to incoming media requests and arrange media interviews with relevant analysts.
  • Pitch for media interviews to generate in-depth coverage to intensify Mintel’s share of voices in the market.
  • Support, secure, and coordinate thought leadership speakerships within China.
  • Draft and review press releases, blogs, etc. all communications materials; create social media content for China with teamwork from other China marketing team members.
  • Understand business needs, and find solutions from a marketing point of view to help solve the problems or challenges the commercial team is facing with integrated marketing and PR tools.
  • Be a key member of the APAC Marketing team, support APAC level and global level campaign implementation to make sure it is carried out efficiently in local markets.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Possess Bachelor’s degree, overseas educational background preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years+ or above experience in marketing and communications function, B2B or market research industry background is preferable.
  • Must be a confident communicator and presenter.
  • Must be a self-driven and have a strong ownership
  • Data-driven, familiar with data analysis preferred
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Chinese and English.
  • Proven recent track history in planning and executing marketing and PR campaigns within China market.
  • Fluent English as the working language.
  • Ability to manage time well, work under own initiative and prioritize own work.
  • Strong organizational skills and good work ethic, with attention to detail and results-driven.
  • Proven strategic, planning, and multitasking skills.
  • Track record as a high performer under pressure and adherence to deadlines with a quality outcome.
  • Demonstrated business maturity and professionalism.
  • Understanding of working within the corporate structure for approval processes.
  • Proficient use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and social media networks.
  • Experiences with SalesForce and Marketo preferred
