The Southeast Asia Markets & Subscribers (SEA M&S) team are looking for a Market Strategy & Operations (MSO) Manager in Singapore to join our SEA MSO team. You will support the team with business analysis and insights, business planning, regional operating processes, and leading cross-functional projects by building positive relationships across the company. In this position, you will work closely with local and regional functional leadership, reporting to the SEA MSO Lead. This role will be based in Singapore.
What You'll Do
- Responsibilities include:
Market Analysis and Insights:
- Drive competitive monitoring and maintaining a full view of the industry
- Anticipate key emerging trends in the industry
- Support the functions with insights and knowledge needed to drive decisions and define strategy
Business Reviews and Reporting:
- Track periodic performance of market critical metrics
- Drive the process, framework and output of market analysis and business review, regionally and locally
Business Planning and Operating Processes:
- Support in the development and execution of the regional planning process and framework
- Support the Managing Director, MSO Lead, and functional leads in formulating the regional strategy and operational plan
- Drive the operating processes for the region by crafting efficiency, removing obstacles, improving processes, and supervising regional budgets and initiatives
- Ensure communication and alignment between all teams, taking charge of internal communications initiatives
Support Strategy Initiatives:
- Evaluate and execute on strategic market opportunities, identify and solve operational problems
- Step in and execute alongside functions when needed
Who You Are
- You have a minimum of 5-7 years experience in management consulting, and/or at a fast-growing internet company in an equivalent strategy/operations/analytics role
- Organized, process-driven strategic thinker with an understanding of planning and budgeting
- Experienced in structuring and leading complex projects
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills
- Prior experience, and interest in, internet / technology / digital media / music would be advantageous
- Experience in working with international team
- Fluent in English, command of one or more regional languages is a plus
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments
- Ability to learn new concepts, technologies, and businesses quickly and produce quality work in short timeframes
- Ability to quickly distill large amounts of information into clear insights and recommendations for leaders across the business
- Outstanding presentation skills and the ability to build concise and illustrative presentations
- Strong analytical skills and comfort in analyzing large datasets, with experience in using tools such as Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and Tableau (SQL is a plus)
- Generalist skill-set that is equally comfortable analyzing data, coordinating internal events or managing cross-functional projects
- Critical thinker with good business judgment
- Genuine, confident, flexible, and fun attitude
- Ability to build effective relationships across cross-functional teams
