Market Analyst

Full-Time
This is a two-year fixed term contract based in Singapore.

In this role you will work closely and be mentored by the Senior Market Analyst, so it is a great opportunity to grow and launch your career.

Our people are based in 50 offices, working across 24 time zones and communicating in 40 languages to support New Zealand businesses in over 100 countries. 
 

What you’ll be doing:   

The role works to achieve greater impact and insight for New Zealand exporting companies by providing market research and analysis to help customers establish and grow their business internationally. This role is an essential part of the NZTE strategy for the South East and East Asia region. 

You will support the senior Market Analyst to provide regional knowledge using data and analytical techniques and be a trusted advisor to the customer facing teams ensuring all regional research is conducted to best practice standards and delivers value to the customer. 

You will provide research activity across the region and maintain a repository of information and insight. You will be tasked by the senior Market Analyst in a range of research tasks.

What you’ll need to be successful: 

• You will be an active listener, who takes time to really understand.  
• You will be skilled at building and continuously growing strong trusted relationships with customers.  
• You will have proven ability to conduct and produce research, analysis and reports to a high standard. 
• Skilled at identifying key insights across large information sets (data and anecdotal) and making them meaningful for leaders.  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.  
• Skilled in analytical software and understanding business models and high level MS Office skills. 
• Ideally you will have some experience working with or advising businesses to maximise/convert their commercial outcomes and some project experience. However, if you have recently graduated and do not yet have any relevant work experience, we are keen to hear from you too
