About the Role

We are seeking a self-motivated multi-disciplinary manufacturing test engineer to support the manufacture and testing of drones at India CM. In this role, your contributions will ensure that Skydio’s products are defect free, exceed quality requirements, and function reliably for our customers.

How you'll make an impact:

You’ll play a key role on the Manufacturing Test Engineering team to enable the manufacture of drones designed by Skydio. The position will require close collaboration with internal Skydio teams (Manufacturing Test, Manufacturing Software) and CM team to ensure a comprehensive test strategy and deliver automated manufacturing test software.

  • Provide test leadership to ensure each station is operating as expected
  • Take ownership of manufacturing test stations, software versions, and test station quality
  • Develop deep technical understanding of manufacturing operations, process and test flows
  • Assist Skydio HQ Manufacturing Test team with remote debugging
  • Ensure all stations are audited and qualified prior to production start on a daily basis
  • Work independently to overcome roadblocks with minimum guidance 
  • Self-prioritize and troubleshoot production line issues with urgency

What makes you a good fit: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science
  • Proficient in Python software development
  • Good experience with DMM, Scopes, Signal generators, and soldering
  • Strong experience with PC, networking, setting up computers, etc
  • Experience with Linux OS and developing/running bash scripts
  • Ability to analyze data to investigate test failures, assess design gaps, show process capability and equipment reliability
  • Expertise in communication interface protocols - UART, USB, I2C, GPIB, RS-232
