Manufacturing Operator - Reagents (Swing Shift)

Job Summary:

The Reagent Manufacturing Operator role is primarily responsible for supporting the reagent manufacturing build and test of Company product.

Responsibilities: 

• Perform and support reagent manufacturing build.
• Create and maintain reagent manufacturing assembly Work Instructions (WI), Batch Record in accordance to GMP/Visby Medical QMS.
• Escalate issue(s) to engineer/management/peers clearly and effectively in a timely manner.
• Maintain a safe and open working environment.
• Maintain and update laboratory equipment and reagent material/floor stock inventories.
• Work with engineers and quality to troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve nonconformances.
• Perform and support reagent manufacturing qualification and scale-up activities.
• Provide technical/nontechnical support for all reagent manufacturing issues.
• Understand and adhere to company code of conduct and Policies
• Other duties assigned by Reagent Manufacturing supervisor and or line leader
• Flexible to work in different manufacturing facilities/buildings
• Must be a team player and able to demonstrate willingness and ability to provide assistance to supervisor, lead and co-workers
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Adhere to company attendance policy
• Adhere to company's PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements when entering the Lab 
• Maintain lab housekeeping (5S) practices
• Adhere to manufacturing leadership escalation process
• Able to work overtime when production demand/schedule requires 
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education and/or Experience:

• Must be proficient with English reading / writing proficiency
• Data entry experience, Microsoft software, or basic computer skills are required
• Pay attention to detail, be a good note keeper and team player in order to succeed in this position
• Experience working on batch record is a plus
• Experience on Multichannel Benchtop dispenser or micropipette, CVD, Plasma, SRD, and other lab equipment is a plus
• Experience operating equipment is a plus
• Experience using micropipette/pH meter/Conductivity meter are a plus
• Candidates with High School Diploma or equivalent must have more than 1 year experience in MFG clean room 

Physical Demands:

• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and/or motions.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 12 lbs.

Schedule: 

• Monday - Friday; 2:30pm - 11:00pm

Salary range:

• $19/hr - $21/hr  (Minimum to maximum salary range for candidates based in San Jose, CA)
• Compensation for the role is based on geographical location.
• Compensation also depends on a number of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
