ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for an experienced and value-driven professional to join our sustaining production team. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will guide Fluence's success by bringing your knowledge and expertise to help us maintain our culture as we grow.
You will be tasked with owning various operational activities for assigned contract manufacturers using our tools, your experience, in a collaborative fun environment.
You will have the ability to make sound judgment calls and contribute to maintaining a culture of high integrity. If you’re skilled with issue resolution, a great collaborator, and an excellent communicator, we’d like to talk to you!
As Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
· Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues and developing advanced manufacturing cost-effective solutions to drive continiuous improvement.
· Collaborate with contract manufacturers on implementation of new products into production processes at our factories
· Project management abilities will be critical to this role, as well as commitment to quality, and familiarity with safety and environmental standards
· Develop and revise manufacturing documentation for existing products, including process flows, work instructions, routings, process and product change requests, and other documentation as required
· Actively supports productivity improvement program and resolution of deviation events
· Support continuous improvement manufacturing engineering activities to achieve and exceed quality targets
· Support sustaining operations by creating and implimenting Fluence Change Requests.
· Assist in product and process related root cause analysis
· Support the sustaining production team in tracking, reporting, and improvements to production related KPI’s
· Ensure implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions
What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
· 5+ years of experience working in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment
· Experience with contract manufactures
· Prior experience working with teams to drive continuous improvement
· Problem solver and result oriented
· High Attention to detail and data accuracy
· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles
· Experience tracking, prioritizing and driving multiple concurrent projects in a fast paced, growing company
· Driven, proactive and can-do attitude. You’re hands-on and want to get things done.
