We are looking for a self-motivated, and team-oriented Manufacturing Engineer - Debug Focus who takes pride in driving and sustaining product development through manufacturing. As an Arista Software Manufacturing Engineer - Debug Focus, you will engage with Engineering, Platform Design, CM Partners, CA personnel and other business functions. You will get an opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, high caliber team building test software to help validate high-speed digital designs and achieve high yields in manufacturing Arista Network products used in the computer networking industry's largest data centers and AI based applications.
What You'll Do
- Manage and drive quality metrics and improvement activities (yields, bone pile, scrap rates, component fallout).
- Line stops / purges / quality issues leadership.
- Drive product failure debug activities to minimize scrap rate.
- Actively debug product failures.
- Assess manufacturing personnel technical capability.
- Ensure that production site receives the required level of product training.
- Provide hardware debug mentorship to contract manufacturing test engineers and debug technicians. Improve manufacturing operations test processes and actively enhance efficiency, consistency, cost avoidance, and customer satisfaction.
- Address Return Rate (RMA) and customer complaints.
- DRT participation and leadership. Actively work with the Defect Reduction Team to identify product issues and drive resolutions.
- Manage and drive test yield improvements.
- Establish technical direction through the investigation and evaluation of new test technologies.
- Interface/engage with Engineering, Platform Engineering, Manufacturing and CM partners.
- Understand implementation of Change Orders (Agile)
- Manage test infrastructure requirements and ensure factory capacity capability.
- Factory readiness for New Product launches
- Identify and drive process improvement, cycle times reduction and lean activities
- Develop process and/or best practice documentation.
- Establish technical direction through the investigation and evaluation of new test technologies.
- Work in conformance to established manufacturing test processes and procedures.
- 10+ years of experience in contract manufacturing environment, preferably in a high mix, low volume PCBA environment as well as box build.
- BS or MS degree required.
- Strong leadership capability, with experience in managing, recruiting, developing and coaching employees.
- Proven record of accomplishment driving business efficiency and improvements.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Vietnamese.
- Must be results-oriented and possess sound business judgement.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills combined with an ability to research information.
- Experience in production process metric implementation, yield management and product quality.
- Ability and experience in Test Capacity management and cycle time improvements.
- Expert knowledge in ECO, BOM and Deviation processes, (Agile experience a plus).
- Solid working knowledge of DFx (DFM, DFA, DFT, DFQ and/or DFR).
- Demonstrated ability to establish technical direction through the investigation and evaluation of new test technologies.
- Expertise in networking products related to routing, switching and data center.
- Excellent computer skills with emphasis on excel and project reporting.
- Excellent working knowledge of complex system level debugging and root cause analysis.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing, test, quality and reliability best practices.
