Requirements for the role:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing engineering role, or a related industry, is a plus.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, systems, and technology, including CNC machining, additive manufacturing, assembly, and quality control.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for designing and improving manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma techniques for process improvement and waste reduction.
- Ability to develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment capabilities.
- Understanding of engineering standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental impact in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply engineering principles to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, for working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including operations, quality, R&D, and supply chain.
