Calibration and repair a variety of precision measuring equipment in a controlled monitored laboratory environment. Maintain accurate records and associated documents to ensure compliance to the latest revision of API Q1 and ISO 9001. Conduct detailed investigations and take appropriate corrective actions when equipment if found “out-of-calibration.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order)
- Calibration of precision measuring equipment utilized in the manufacturing facility.
- Maintain critical calibration records to ensure compliance to latest revision of API Q1 and ISO 9001.
- Maintain a laboratory environment compliant to the latest revision API Q1 and ISO 9001.
- Work with Calibration service provider to ensure calibration service meets Weatherford documented requirements.
- Complete purchase orders for calibration service and documenting service requirements in purchase orders.
- Maintain training database for employee training. Update as training is performed and removal of personnel from data base as required.
- Creating technical work instructions and other documents relating to Calibration.
- Assists QA Manager in implementing the calibration program for facilities the QA Manager is responsible for.
- Coordinate activities of QA Documentation processes including assisting in assembly of traceability documentation.
- Trend nonconforming data for suppliers, shop monthly, and disseminate resulting information.
- Assemble Traceability documentation per customer requirements as designated on the Sales Order and WCS traceability level.
- Pull required documentation manually or electronically and make copies for documentation packet and assemble into documentation package.
- Maintain Work Order and Procurement Material Test Report files. Maintenance of the files including the files stored off site.
- Scan Work Orders, Procured Material Test Reports, Certificates of Compliance, and other associated documentation for Traceability.
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
- Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Background Requirements:
- 3+ years calibration experience
- Basic understanding of Metrology.
- Basic understanding of Laboratory controls.
- Should complete product line specific Weatherford training.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and API Q1 requirements.
- High School Diploma or GED
Continuing Requirements:
- Basic English reading, writing and speaking
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos including oral instruction.
- Advanced computer skills- Knowledgeable and proficient in PC software (Word, Excel, Access, Adobe, Visio, Power Point, Easy CD Creator)
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of scanning documents and indexing of same documents
