Internet Brands/WebMD is seeking a data-driven leader to join our Los Angeles headquarters as the Manager, Web Analytics & Insights. In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing a comprehensive tag and event strategy across all IB digital properties. You'll lead a team of analysts, translate data into actionable insights, and champion initiatives to elevate IB's web analytics and digital data capabilities.
 
The Ideal Candidate:
- Strategic Visionary: You're an organized self-starter with a keen business sense and a passion for data. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess the vision to develop and implement a robust tag and event strategy that aligns with IB's overall digital goals.
- Technical Expertise: You have 5+ years of experience in web analytics with a multi-channel background. Proficiency in Google Analytics 360 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, Looker (Data Studio), BigQuery, and Google Ads is essential. Additionally, you possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable using tools like Tableau, SQL, Python, and R.
- Leadership Acumen: Prior leadership experience is a plus. You have a collaborative spirit, excel at mentoring analysts, and can effectively manage and prioritize workload for yourself and your team.
- Communication Powerhouse: You can translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that resonate with various business stakeholders. You have excellent communication and presentation skills, ensuring everyone is aligned and informed.
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Design and Execution of Tag & Event Strategy: Define event taxonomy, manage event implementation across all IB sites, and ensure consistency for accurate business reporting.
- Empower Informed Decision-Making: Provide insightful summaries, recommendations, and visualizations that unveil trends, track performance, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the Data Team, Developers, Product, Tag Management, and SEOs to optimize data flows and tracking methodologies. Champion initiatives to enhance channel, product, and consumer analytics capabilities.
- Cultivate Data Expertise: Serve as the internal subject matter expert for IB web analytics, providing training and consultations on cross-organizational projects.
- Uncover Hidden Gems: Perform advanced analyses of web traffic, email engagement, and app data to measure program success, including click-through rates, retention, and A/B testing results.
- Agile Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to design flexible solutions that meet evolving analytic needs.
 
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with web analytics in a multi-channel environment
- Proficiency in Google Analytics 360 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, Looker (Data Studio), BigQuery, Google Ads
- Strong analytical skills and experience in dashboard creation (Tableau, Excel)
- Strong project management skills with experience using enterprise project management tools
- Excellent business and product sense
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior leadership experience
- Experience working with a Customer Data Platform (CDP)
- Prior experience in server-side tag management
- Experience with digital marketing campaigns (lead quality, paid traffic, etc.)
- Proficiency in JavaScript development
