Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) team is looking for an individual to join our consulting practice and play a key role developing high impact projects for Visa’s clients mainly in Peru as part of the Andean Region.
The potential candidate will be responsible for delivering consulting projects and solutions with issuers, acquirers and merchants, in an individual contributor capacity. This person will develop initiatives to promote sustainable and profitable growth, thereby ensuring that Visa is both, the preferred brand and unique business partner.
Potential engagements could include portfolio management diagnostics, authorization optimization strategies, assessments of digital strategies and marketing programs, development of new products with implementation roadmaps, optimizing client customer servicing processes, among others.
Specific responsibilities include:
Identify business insights and develop recommendations as part of consulting projects to help our clients to improve their performance and profitability, driving understanding of their issues and providing strategic guidance for their priorities in payments
Manage bespoke complex projects, working altogether with in-market and/or regional colleagues from other VCA teams
Structure and create presentations for each assigned project, including exhaustive data analysis when required
Analyze effectively large datasets (industry and Visa) to determine meaningful insights and recommendations for clients
Develop frameworks, approaches, solutions and/or recommendations aimed to address effectively and efficiently key opportunities and challenges
Ensure timely execution of the consulting projects
Engage proactively with clients and Visa client leadership in regular discussions
Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g. sales, marketing, risk, client services) and across global regional teams to execute projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources
Incumbents applying for the role should be motivated, analytical individuals who will deliver strategic thought leadership and high impact solutions to support the client’s growth and performance. Candidates must be able to develop enduring, strategic relationships with clients and across the Visa organization.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
• Bachelor's degree required, ideally in quantitative field (e.g. engineering, mathematics, science) and/or business administration from top tier school,
• 8+ years of relevant experience in financial/banking services or management consulting specially in payments,
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, and attention to detail
• Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and/or payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes, payments P&Ls, marketing initiatives and card acquiring experience is preferred
• Self-motivated individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently
• Excellent oral and written communication, story-telling and presentation skills
• Great team player
• Technology mindset, curious, up-to-date with digital trends and applications
• Data visualization and UX skills
• SQL knowledge is preferred
• Fluent in Spanish and English
