We are looking for people who:
- Are experts in UX/UI design with at least 5 years of experience in design systems and scalable user interface frameworks
- Have at least 2-5 years of experience leading a design team or managing design operations, including oversight of system governance and design tools
- Possess strong collaboration skills, especially when working with product management, engineering, and executive leadership
- Understand how to establish priorities for a design system based on company goals, KPIs, and user needs
- Are passionate about mentoring and supporting team members, fostering an environment of growth and innovation
- Thrive in dynamic and evolving environments, adapting workflows and strategies to meet new challenges
- Are skilled problem-solvers who can diagnose complex design issues and craft actionable solutions
- Have an eye for detail and a strategic understanding of end-to-end user experiences, focusing on usability, consistency, and brand alignment
- Use a variety of resources and data to explore design challenges from diverse perspectives
- Have excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex design strategies clearly to stakeholders and team members
- Communicate (writing, speaking) fluently in English (at least B2 level proficiency). But C1-C2 preferred
In your daily work you will handle the following tasks:
- Lead and oversee the work of the Design Systems team, driving a user-centered approach to scalable and consistent design frameworks. Working closely with Design Operations (Design Ops) and UX Research Operations (Research Ops)
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the design system, incorporating mobile-first principles, accessibility standards, ethical principles and modern UI/UX trends using the DNA of Allegro
- Align the design system with the broader product vision, ensuring that it meets both user and business needs
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and UX teams to integrate the design system seamlessly across multiple applications and user segments, and business units
- Promote the adoption of the design system across business units through effective communication, documentation, and training
- Monitor and analyze UX metrics to measure the impact of design system updates on user experience and business outcomes
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the Design Systems team
- Manage and prioritize operational tasks to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality design standards
- Mentor team members and support their individual growth, setting clear development goals and providing regular feedback
- Represent the Design Systems team in recruitment processes and broader organizational initiatives, contributing to the development of UX maturity within the company
