The role:
In this position, you will work in a high-impact role supporting a team of technical project managers who drive complex client implementations. Your primary areas of responsibility as a team manager will include:
- Functional Support - The most important aspect of your role as a manager is to support the members of your team as they strive to support our clients and achieve both individual and company goals. You will achieve this primarily through coaching, mentoring, and removing impediments including client escalations and/or cross-functional partnerships internally.
- Administrative Support - Closely related to providing direct support to your team members’ daily activities and growth is the operational management of your team’s organization, division of work, and interaction with partner teams. You will have the opportunity to manage your team’s capacity, pipeline of work, and success metrics.
- OKRs and Quality Initiatives - OKRs and Quality projects are an important part of driving meaningful change both in our organization and the broader company. As a member of the Implementation Leadership Team, you will participate in thoughtful goal setting both at the organization and individual team levels. You will also have the opportunity to sponsor 1-2 organizational OKRs per quarter.
What you’ll do:
- Lead by example to grow your team by caring for the team members and supporting the team’s operational execution
- Nurture a culture of continuous improvement, documentation, and blameless retrospection
- Grow your people through coaching, performance management, and identifying opportunities for mentorship and/or stretch opportunities
- Provide first-line support for your team’s operational needs, working cross-functionally or escalating as needed
- Navigate complex interdependencies across multiple, cross-functional teams
- Participate in organization-wide goal + OKR planning and execution
- Manage documentation and standard operating procedures for audit-sensitive tasks
- Respond to client requests or escalations with a balance of technical and business acumen to determine what is urgent vs. what is important
What you’ll need:
- Consistent track record of performance management and career development of individual contributors
- Ability to engage in technical and business discussions from both tactical and strategic viewpoints
- Experience with Project Management best practices, methodologies and tools
- Expert Relationship Management skills including communication and managing client escalations
- Ability to balance delivering on business objectives while also protecting the long term quality of platform
- Experience leading cross-organizational efforts with both technical and business teams to ensure successful delivery
- Experience working in highly regulated environments such as fintech or banking
Nice to have:
- BS/MS in a technical field or similar experience
- Experience with API or SAAS solutions
- PMP or similar Project Management certifications
- Professional Services or Consulting experience
- Experience with Python and/or other scripting languages
