SEWS—El Paso Customer Service Center (Eastside). Although located at SEWS – El Paso Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work. Associates are required to work at least two days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.
Basic Purpose of Position
The Manager, Warehouse Management Section (WMS), of the Warehouse Management Department (WMD) is dedicated to supporting the local management of existing SEWS warehouse and 3PL operations on behalf of SEWS and all affiliates, located in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. This includes setting general warehouse standards and monitoring, supporting adherence to corporate policies, procedures, regulations, establishing and monitoring KPIs, SQCD, provide operational support, facilitate continuous improvement activities. Additionally, this department supports invoice processing tasks related to warehousing and 3PL services. Periodic travel to SEWS warehouse locations is required
Basic Position Duties
Setting Standards:
Develop SEWS general (non-customer specific) operations standards for warehouse processes, best practices and guidelines for efficiency.
Publish and facilitate standards implementation across all warehouses and 3PL operations.
Monitor and report compliance.
Corporate Policies, Procedures, Regulations:
Support the implementation of corporate policies, procedures, and regulations in all warehouse and 3PL operations.
Support internal departments, such as Compliance and Safety with audit and follow-up activities.
Operational Support:
Assist local management with new initiatives and operational transitions.
Provide support for the integration of new processes and the implementation of new projects.
Ensure effective coordination and support for warehouse and 3PL operations
Including managing relationships with stakeholders.
Performance Monitoring:
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse and 3PL operations.
Conduct operational efficiency assessments to ensure continuous improvement.
Monitor SQCD initiatives to improve performance.
Best Practices (Kaizen):
Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen) to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Promote the standardization of processes and the implementation of innovative solutions.
Optimize delivery processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Invoice Processing:
Process invoices related to warehousing and 3PL services
Ensure accurate and timely payment processing
Coordinate with finance for payment approvals and reconciliation
Position Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in warehouse management or logistics, with experience in a managerial role.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to analyze and improve operational processes
- Knowledge of safety standards and compliance regulations
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in logistics or warehouse management are a plus.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, Smartsheets and CAD or similar programs
