About the Role:
Pachama is seeking a strategic operator with a strong FP&A foundation to drive decisions and investor engagement at both the corporate and project level. As a Strategic Finance professional, you will own Pachama’s corporate model and lead a thoughtful data-driven process for corporate planning and business model evolution. You will apply this same muscle to build out more robust Capital Markets and Investor Relations functions. This is an individual contributor role with a high degree of cross-functional collaboration and influence.
Location: The role is remote within the United States/International. However, you must be within 3 hours of Pacific time given cross-functional and investor communication responsibilities. No regular travel is required or expected.

What You Will Help Us With:

Primary Strategic Finance Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Pachama's corporate model, and own long-term forecasting
- Drive annual planning, quarterly BvA processes, and monthly finance reviews
- Define, evaluate and drive execution of new business models and pricing structures

Primary Capital Markets Responsibilities:
- Support fundraising, board meetings, and investor relations with Pachama's venture capital investors, debt providers, and project investors
- Articulate and help negotiate capital strategies at the project level to support global nature restoration, pulling on diverse sources of equity, debt, concessional and grant capital
- Build out more robust processes, tools and investment policies to accelerate project investments
- Manage day-to-day capital operations, tracking the health of our project portfolio, influencing across cross-functional collaboration to address risks and growth opportunities, and providing timely reporting to our investors and fund partners
Experience & Skills We’re Looking For:
- 5-8 years of related experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate finance / FP&A at a high-growth startup.
- Exceptional proficiency in financial modeling, and an ability to distill complex information into key outputs like spreadsheets and presentations.
- Past exposure to investment and commercial deal processes, including pipeline management, deal structuring, and portfolio management. Exposure to project financing is a plus.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with business partners and an ability to present to both executives and investors.
- A thoughtful work style that can think about hard problems from first principles.
