As a Manager / Senior Manager Tax, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of Taxation covering both Direct and Indirect Taxes. This position requires comprehensive understanding of Taxation laws, rules and regulations including understanding of Direct taxes, VAT, GST, Sales tax, TDS, Transfer pricing and various other compliances. The candidate should demonstrate strong functional and technical tax knowledge, communication, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills. The candidate should have prior experience of working in a collaborative and high-performance culture.
The position requires working closely with the senior Finance leadership in UK and India including Managing Directors, CFO’s (Global and India), UK Financial Controller and various other stakeholders. A person with a mix of prior Big 4 and a globally listed company along with India tax compliance experience will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for preparation as well as providing oversight on all Direct and Indirect Tax matters (UK/ US/ India) (Corporation Tax, Transfer pricing, TDS, Sales tax/ VAT/ GST)
- Prepare/ review various tax filings and related compliances for different jurisdictions/ legal entities across the Group
- Prepare and review submission of details as required for various Direct and Indirect taxes assessments
- Co-ordinate with Tax consultants for filing of relevant tax returns, related compliances and Tax assessments for different jurisdictions/ legal entities across the group
- Assist with Tax planning/ advice on various restructures, special projects including liaising with tax consultants for their expert opinion on various matters
- Prepare/ review submission of Quarterly Advance tax, Annual tax returns, GST monthly and annual returns, GST refunds and related assessments
- Coordinate for Transfer pricing compliances, Transfer pricing study and master form filings
- Get new registrations and filing amendments of existing registrations as required for different jurisdictions/ legal entities across the group
- Prepare/ review TDS calculations and related compliances, Monthly deposit, Quarterly returns and Statutory forms and TDS returns - non-salary for different legal entities across the group
- Prepare policies, operating procedures, and ensuring compliances to internal controls
- Prepare/ review details for Statutory and Tax audits and coordination with Auditors
- Liaison with other teams within organisation for day-to-day operations
- Assist with various Adhoc / Projects as may be required
- Drive continuous process improvements, reduce inefficiencies, drive automation projects with a keen focus on reducing overall costs
Job Requirements:
- Qualified CA or CPA required.
- 8-10 years of total work experience in Tax with preference of mixed experience in Industry and Big 4 firms
- Strong knowledge of Direct and Indirect Tax laws as applicable for UK, US, India, Mauritius
- Strong analytical and technical tax and accounting skills
- Prior experience in NetSuite preferred
- Strong excel and presentation skills
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills as this profile requires interaction at various levels, stakeholders and in different countries
