Manager / Senior Manager Engineering - Cloud Engineering (R&D)

We're on the lookout for dynamic, experienced Engineering Leader to join our growing R&D - Cloud Engineering team.

A Manager / Senior Manager – Engineering (Engineering Leader) is responsible for the process of delivering software at IFS relating development investments to the overall R&D Product Strategy. The ability to articulate the What and Why to their teams based on their close working relationships with both Product and Program Managers is key to the success of individuals in this role.

Main Duties and Accountabilities

• Lead and manage the Cloud Engineering team, overseeing automated pipelines for solution delivery and updates.
• Drive engineering standards, optimize automation, and participate in sprint planning, estimating, and execution.
• Coach and develop team members, setting achievable goals for personal growth and career development.
• Foster relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, minimising R&D time spent on support.
• Ensure high-quality software delivery with a 'right first time' approach, including proper documentation.
• Contribute to recruitment efforts and upskill the team to support career growth and personal aspirations.
• Engage regularly with global business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Experience in leading globally distributed teams with people management responsibility.
• Experience in planning & forecasting skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile approach, DevOps and CI/CD.
• Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Expertise with code quality and security tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Natural desire to discover and learn new technologies & processes. Passion for innovation & new ideas. Proactively taking initiative & responsibility.
• A University degree, or equivalent professional qualifications in engineering & delivery of enterprise software solutions.
