Manager, Security [Internal]

About the Position

We are looking for a Manager, Security to lead the administration of 24-hour security operations for Chase Center and Thrive City. In this role, you will provide oversight and direction to security supervisors and officers while establishing and developing processes to improve on-site security. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Event Security.

This is a full-time position based in San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the performance, conduct and attendance of security officers and supervisors assigned to the site
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and security initiatives
  • Create and maintain business relationships with stakeholders and facility partners including local, state, & federal fire & police authorities through trainings and meetings
  • Schedule necessary medical, police, K9 and other local emergency management departments for all Chase Center & Thrive City events
  • Recruit and train security staff assigned to the site; conduct periodic performance appraisals and handle disciplinary actions when needed
  • Develop and conduct security & safety training sessions for arena personnel
  • Communicate and plan with Sr. Director of Security and Event Services Manager to understand expectations of a successfully secured event, pre and post event
  • Establish facility needs based on GSW and tenant expectations; staff and coordinate needs to internal department and outside agencies and vendors
  • Oversee credentials and proxy access; ensure the quality and accuracy of all logs and incident reports generated at the site; create and implements post orders for the security team on site
  • Assist management of event staff radio equipment and maintain a program for assigning and tracking all security equipment
  • Maintain records and photos of all incidents that involve any events at Chase Center and site
  • Act as a liaison with local law enforcement, client representatives, talent/sports team security and outside agencies
  • Work with Manager of Guest Experiences to ensure teamwork between Security and Guest Services
  • Assist in the documentation of reports, disciplinary notes, log entries and the creation of department budget and strategic plans
  • Respond to emergencies and work to deescalate urgent matters
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on security experience, preferably in the sports and/or live entertainment industry
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience leading security staff
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Familiarity with payroll software and TMSS scheduling software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and resolution skills; Ability to read and comprehend safety documents, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with clients and peers at all levels within an organization and throughout the community

Time Commitment

  • Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, on-call status, and holidays as necessary

Compensation

  • $86,000 - 103,000 + Bonus
