- Build and lead a team of deal desk professionals chartered to support a growing global software organization deliver their sales goals
- Coordinate the flow of information across multiple groups, such as Sales, Professional Services, Legal, Revenue Accounting, Operations, etc. to ensure the execution of the deal review and approval process follows company policies and guidelines.
- Act as principal point of contact between sales, customers, and legal for providing guidance related to the company’s commercial contracting requirements and processes, including communicating standard responses and gathering further information, as required
- Monitor status of deal review to ensure timely acceptance. Proactively communicate with sales representatives regarding delays or issues that may arise during deal review.
- Successfully advise and educate sales teams and other internal stakeholders on business policies and processes and provide ongoing guidance and coordination throughout contract lifecycle
- Work with the Enterprise Data team to adhere to data quality policies, such as consolidating duplicate accounts, updating customer information and taxable status.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation to keep track of changes/updates to orders with relevant approvals per policy.
- Build, monitor and maintain analytics to understand KPIs, SLAs, deal velocity, etc.
- Lead or participate in projects to improve internal processes and build for scale
- Continuously build, assess, and improve deal desk processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, adapting to the evolving needs of the business
Minimum qualifications
- 10+ years of deal desk, contract review and/or order to cash experience
- 5+ years people management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
- High proficiency in computer software programs (Excel and Word)
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures
- Proven ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Preferred qualifications
- Salesforce CPQ experience strongly preferred
- Software/SaaS billing experience preferred
- Multi-lingual always a plus; primarily German or French
