Nevada Gold Mines is looking to hire a Process Maintenance and Engineering Manager at our Carlin operations. The successful candidate will lead the Process Division to ensure safe employee behaviors and maintain environmental compliance in all areas of Process while supporting other divisions to achieve the same for the site.

Responsibilities:
The Maintenance and Engineering Manager for Carlin will have direct and indirect accountability for maintenance, engineering, and operational excellence/improvement across the Carlin Processing Facilities, which include two Roasting facilities, an autoclave facility, a concentrator, and three Heap-Leach Carbon-in-Column (CIC) plants.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing maintenance governance for Carlin Processing.
- Providing an operational excellence function, focusing on the integration of safe operational targets and maintenance plans at all business levels.
- Serving as the Carlin Processing Champion for Material Risks and Insurance Audits.
- Collaborating with the management team to ensure that Fatal Risk Management controls are effectively implemented.
- Acting as the custodian of the defect elimination process.
- Mentoring and guiding plant managers, especially those without a maintenance background.
- Offering coaching and development support to the mechanical and electrical superintendents reporting to the plant managers.
- Coaching and developing all direct reports as well as those indirectly managed.
- Continuously improving asset management structures, systems, and compliance.
- Optimizing and enhancing outage/shutdown processes.
- Driving innovation in both operations and maintenance.
- Managing Life of Mine (LOM) maintenance budgeting, including improvements in cost control and reporting standards.
- Enabling and implementing improvement initiatives through Carlin, NGM, and industry benchmarking.
- Oversee various central processing services to ensure that resources are allocated according to business priorities.
- Governing autoclave process safety.
- Serving as coverage for the Carlin Processing Manager or any of the plant manager roles as needed.
