As the Manager of Platform Engineering, you will lead the development and integration of cutting-edge security measures within our DevOps processes and throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Your focus will be on automating and securing our development workflows using GitHub and GitHub Actions and on implementing trunk-based development practices to enhance efficiency and code quality.

What you will be doing:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive DevSecOps strategy that aligns with our SDLC, emphasizing automation, security scanning, and CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions.
- Architect and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure, particularly using AWS technologies, with a focus on AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) and service mesh architectures using Istio.
- Drive the integration of advanced security practices at each stage of the SDLC, from design through deployment, utilizing tools like AWS Security Hub and AWS Key Management Service (KMS) to enhance our security posture.
- Champion trunk-based development practices, leveraging merge-queue in GitHub to streamline our development process, reduce integration times, and improve code quality.
Technical Skills Required:

AWS Expertise: Profound knowledge of AWS cloud services, with specific experience in managing EKS and implementing service mesh architectures using Istio to ensure microservices are securely communicating.

Kubernetes Proficiency (k8s): Deep understanding of container orchestration using Kubernetes, including managing clusters and deploying applications on EKS.

GitHub Mastery: Extensive experience with GitHub, especially GitHub Actions for CI/CD, GitHub Advanced Security for identifying vulnerabilities in code, and merge-queue for development efficiency.
