About the role:
We are a fast-paced, high-growth company looking for a dynamic and experienced People Operations Manager to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our People Operations function, including benefits administration, compliance, payroll and policy management. Day to Day:

Benefits Administration: Lead the annual benefits open enrollment process, including analyzing plan options, negotiating with vendors, and effectively communicating changes to employees. Continually assess the benefits program to ensure competitiveness and employee satisfaction.

Wellness Programs: Develop and implement comprehensive wellness initiatives, including mental health support and other resources to support a healthier and more engaged workforce.
- Payroll Administration: Partner with the Payroll Analyst to oversee the payroll process to ensure accurate and timely payments, manage tax filings, and stay current with payroll-related laws and regulations. Collaborate with the finance team on reconciliation, reporting and payroll audits. Ensure proper integration between HRIS and payroll systems.

Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits and payroll vendors. Build strong relationships to ensure timely service delivery, cost management, and issue resolution.

Leave of Absence (LOA) Management: Oversee LOA requests, coordinating with employees and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies. Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding leave policies and procedures.

Compliance Reporting: Lead all aspects of HR compliance, including the preparation of required reports (e.g. EEO-1, ACA, and 5500), audits, and updates on legal requirements. Partner with Legal and Finance teams to ensure company-wide compliance with labor laws, benefit regulations, and payroll tax policies.

Employee Resource for Benefits: Act as a subject matter expert for employees on benefits inquiries, providing clear and empathetic guidance on policy clarifications, claims issues, and navigating complex benefits questions.

Handbook & Policy Updates: Regularly review, update, and communicate the employee handbook and company policies to ensure they reflect current employment laws and regulations (local, state, federal), best practices and company culture.

Audit Support: Collaborate with the Finance and InfoSec teams to provide necessary documentation and ensure HR-related compliance for internal and external audits, including SOC2 audits, to maintain process control, data security and regulatory adherence.

HRIS & HRBP Collaboration: Partner with the HRIS team to identify and implement system improvements that enhance employee experience and streamline HR operations. Collaborate with HR Business Partners (HRBP) to align people operations with strategic goals across departments.
What you bring to the table:
- 5+ years of experience in People Operations or HR roles in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Strong experience with Workday and ADP or similar systems.
- Proven experience managing benefits administration and open enrollment, vendor relationships, and benefit analysis.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax compliance, payroll system integrations, and payroll reporting.
- Solid understanding of compliance reporting and HR compliance administration.
- Experience managing Leave of Absence (LOA) programs.
- Familiarity with employment law and ability to apply changes to company policies.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, and stakeholder needs simultaneously.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work with discretion when handling confidential employee matters.
It would be great if you also had:
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR certifications are a plus.

Pay range for this position is $91,000 - $130,000, but may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
