About the Position

The Valkyries are looking for a manager to manage select partnership accounts. In this role, you will play a key role in developing activation plans to hit partner objectives, execute on dynamic marketing platforms, and understand how to drive measurable results. In this role, you will be a part of a team driving additional revenue and creating impactful activations. This position reports to the Vice President, Partnerships.

This is a full-time role based onsite in Oakland, CA with consistent game days, events, and meetings in San Francisco, CA. Reasonable travel is expected, as well as nights, weekends, and holiday work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for corporate partners and their activation elements
  • Fulfill sponsorship agreements with corporate partners by collaborating with internal teams to ensure a high level of execution, customer service, and fulfillment of all deliverables within budget parameters
  • Maintain and grow internal relationships within the Valkyries and GSW for collaboration opportunities
  • Participate in research, data, success rates, and market trends to develop and implement new and creative marketing activation strategies and methodologies
  • Identify upsell opportunities for assigned corporate partner accounts
  • Build and sustain positive client and agency relationships to meet client goals and objectives and ensure 100% satisfaction
  • Evaluate current partner activation plans and provide recommendations through execution recaps and selling presentations
  • Plan and execute events, promotions, and luxury experiences and organize partnership details through CRM systems
  • Consistently ideate around market relevancy to strengthen partnerships through current assets and upsells
  • Other duties assigned

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of corporate partnership (preferably within the sports industry) and/or account management experience; minimum 2 years of people management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with clients and peers at all levels within the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, service and resolution skills
  • Basic understanding of social media marketing and the digital space
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to balance multiple projects at once in a fast-paced work environment

Time Commitment

  • Ability to attend home games and special events
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed

Compensation

  • $95,000 + Bonus + Commission
