Why you want this job

The Manager of Tax will be a key member of the Finance leadership team and direct initiatives for SeekWell. They will drive business partnerships with customer organizations such as Go-To-Market, Operations, and Legal, ensuring SeekWell’s tax planning process and operational rigor are elite. This person will be directing all aspects of the domestic and international tax planning, compliance, reporting, and tax accounting. They will ensure accurate and timely reporting of all tax-related financial information in compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, they will design, develop, and implement strategies and policies aligned with the company's overall tax position.

What you'll do

  • Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with business goals to optimize the company's overall tax position
  • Tax Compliance: Oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns, including federal, state (income and sales), and international taxes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Financial Reporting: Work closely with the finance team to provide accurate tax-related financial information for internal and external reporting, including quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Tax Research: Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and provide guidance to the company potential impacts
  • Risk Management: Identify and handle potential tax risks and issues, and implement appropriate strategies
  • Tax Audits: Lead and coordinate all tax audits
  • Transfer Pricing: Oversee transfer pricing strategies and documentation, ensuring overall compliance
  • Tax Strategy Development: Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for business operations, M&A, and other strategic transactions
  • Tax Accounting: Handle the company’s tax accounting process, including the calculation of income tax provisions and deferred taxes
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor associates fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture while providing development opportunities
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions

What you'll need

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a directly related field
  • 5+ years of corporate tax experience either within public accounting or industry
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule out of our Draper HQ (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in office)
