PopSockets is looking for a personable Manager of Systems and Security. As the Manager of Systems and Security, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our computing environment, including our global network resources, both cloud and on-premise servers, data storage devices, filesystems, end-user SaaS applications, and access control systems.  You will also be responsible for provisioning and maintaining end-user computing devices and their associated software, as well as managing a team of employees, contractors, and external service providers responsible for delivering computing services worldwide. In addition to your technical skills, we are looking for someone with a strong understanding of network and data security best practices.  You must be able to attain alignment amongst your stakeholders, develop and implement security policies and procedures, manage security risks and incidents, and ensure that our team meets service level objectives for work requests. You will also need to be able to collaborate with other technology departments to ensure that security is integrated into all aspects of IT operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the definition, evaluation, selection, and implementation of network resources
  • Oversee technology operations, including datacenter, cloud, and vendor management, while evaluating them against established goals
  • Ensure security compliance with industry standards and PopSockets policies, staying updated on new security requirements and practices
  • Collaborate with application and integration teams to ensure network, storage, and compute resources meet application requirements
  • Contribute to the IT leadership team in developing and executing an operational roadmap for all PopSockets systems
  • Maintain IT policies and systems to support secure and ongoing operations
  • Manage hardware and software inventory, support contracts, and policies
  • Maintain systems infrastructure and technology stack, including security patches
  • Coordinate work and services with other Tech departments, contract service providers, and vendors
  • Oversee the systems infrastructure and technology stack of physical office(s), including conference room setup, collaboration tools, and telephony
  • Provide consistent leadership to team members, setting objectives, reviewing performance, and addressing concerns

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of IT administration experience, including 4+ years in managing IT Network and Systems Administration
  • 7+ years of proficiency in managing Mac and Windows personal computing environments.
  • 3+ years in Cloud Service Provisioning within Azure and AWS
  • Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOX 404, PCI DSS, HIPAA, and the like
  • Competent with Google Suite, Office 365 Suite, SharePoint, Slack, Zoom, and collaboration tool management
  • Experienced in vendor management, project budgeting, and expense management
  • Familiar with eCommerce platforms, particularly Shopify and Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and Dynamics NAV/BC ERP applications
  • Industry recognized certification such as PMP, CCSP, CCNA, ITIL, CISSP and the like
  • Proven leader of Systems and Network Administrators
  • Exceptional listener with strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Customer-focused with a passion for problem resolution and troubleshooting
  • Committed to mentoring and enhancing teammates
