Job Title: Manager of Safety, Reliability, and Maintainability

Salary Range: $277,000.00 to $292,000.00 per year
What You’ll Do
- Manage the development and execution of the Archer Safety, Reliability, and Maintainability
programs in support of certifying the company’s first certified e-VTOL aircraft.
- This role will be required to plan, track, execute an extremely aggressive development schedule
from conceptual design through type certification.
- Develop safety requirements for equipment suppliers and interface systems (including DAL level
assignments).
- Conduct and review safety assessments and prepare safety documentations: FHA (Functional
Hazard Assessment), PSSA/SSA ((Preliminary) System Safety Assessment),
PASA/ASA((Preliminary) Aircraft Safety Assessment), CMA (Common Mode Analysis), Safety V&V
(Validation and Verification) activities at aircraft, system and equipment levels, and Supplier
Safety Assessments (e.g. FTA/FMEA/FMES).
- Support development and operation of a Model Based Safety Analysis (MBSA).
- Certification experience with FAA and other foreign regulators (ex. EASA, TCCA).
- Support and review continuing airworthiness safety risks assessments for in-service aircraft
incidents.
- Support and review AFHA (Functional Hazard Assessment), PASA/ASA ((Preliminary) Aircraft
Safety Assessment), ZSA (Zonal Safety Analysis), PRA (Particular Risks Analysis), HIRF and
lightning criticality, AFM (Airplane Flight Manual), Human and Maintenance Error Analysis,
Candidate Certification Maintenance Requirements (CCMR) and Maintenance Steering Group
(MSG3) activities.
- Support implementation of Aerospace standard ARP4754 revision A.
- Support negotiations with System suppliers on safety requirements.
- Experience with Regulations: ARP4754, ARP4761, 23.2510, AC 23.1319, FAA IPs (Issue Papers).
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 12 years experience as Reliability Engineer, SRM Engineer,
Aerospace Engineer, or related occupation or job title in which safety engineering experience in the
aerospace industry was gained.
