Job Summary:
The Manager, Marketing supports strategic planning for each SQEX title and supports the execution of marketing initiatives for products, ensuring brand alignment, audience engagement, and campaign effectiveness.
Responsibilities span from upstream definition of the title’s strategic levers and game value proposition, to developing target audiences, conducting user testing, and delivering strategic guidance to optimize partnerships and drive campaign success downstream.
The Manager, Marketing demonstrates strong strategic thinking and a deep capability to lead initiatives across functions.
Requirements
Key Deliverables:
- Work with Developers to understand each game’s unique value proposition.
- Support identification of publishing objectives for the game, articulate strategic business objectives, and allocate SE West budget appropriately based on forecast.
- Support the Publishing Strategy Lead, Marketing Lead, Regional Sales Lead and Publishing Sales Planner to deliver a full SKU plan.
- Refine target audiences and develop the brand pyramid of foundational strategy components to support effective Go-To-Market (GTM) campaigns.
- Support the screening of games for ethics issues and conducting internal and external user testing (GUR testing) with the support of relevant internal teams.
- Support the development of a demo strategy, key requirements, and a SKU plan, including pre-ordering mechanics and digital content offerings.
- Review creative asset plans with developers and collaborate with Creative teams to develop a core asset toolkit & visual ID/style guide.
- Support the definition of in-game telemetry strategy and requirements to maximize SQEX’s ability to capture detailed data that can be used to drive future marketing performance.
- Support a kickoff within Publishing West organization to align all Regional teams on the strategy.
- Help define 1st party partnership strategies to optimize reach, engagement, and conversion.
- Coordinate with Sales and Business Planning teams to validate Sales Forecast at each production milestone to allow for informed decision-making.
- Partner with Project Teams to create core game pillars such as player promise, key features, and reasons to believe.
- Conduct a handoff to Regional Marketing and Communications teams for seamless project transitions and remain engaged with Regional teams to communicate key project updates throughout the project cycle.
- Be the advocate and knowledge base for assigned games, play and assess these games through development stages. Research competitors, understand industry trends and present/demonstrate games to partners as required.

Knowledge & Experience:
Essential:
- Extensive years of experience in marketing or publishing roles, within the gaming or entertainment industry, with a focus on strategic planning, campaign management, and brand development
- Experience in budget allocation and management, with the ability to effectively allocate resources and track expenditures at both project and regional levels
- Strong understanding of brand development principles, including creating brand pyramids, establishing visual identities, and maintaining brand consistency across all marketing and publishing channels
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization Strong knowledge and experience MS Office
