What’s it all about?
The Marketing role purpose is to utilise Visa marketing & communications assets and brand, to develop marketing programs for the Swiss market, delivering measurable and mutually beneficial business outcomes.
Marketing Services is an exciting and high-profile area in Central Europe to work in with the opportunity to make an impact on the Swiss payment ecosystem working alongside the different internal stakeholders.
The role will be based in Zurich and will work on key projects for the Swiss market to identify mutual business opportunities, develop and implement marketing programs and measure results.
What we expect of you, day to day.
- Develop actionable Marketing concepts, leveraging Visa's many assets and own personal expertise (including but not limited to) research and data insights, payment trends, brand and sponsorship assets, creative origination, digital marketing solutions, local and global best practices.
- Lead development and manage the execution of marketing strategies that differentiate our commercial offerings, communicate value to our customers and lead to successful and measurable outcomes.
- Ensure that planned marketing activities align with key Visa priorities and client objectives and have well defined business and marketing KPIs.
- Develop and share co-marketing use cases and best practices, to guide and inspire the Swiss market and the wider Visa organisation
- Recognize latest consumer & industry trends and innovate to develop new marketing strategies
- Where needed, manage and/or brief creative, media, and/or third-party agencies and suppliers to ensure delivery of marketing programs.
- Take on key operational tasks and take responsibility for key national activations (e.g. local sponsorships, local client and industry events)
- Manage budgets, forecasts, production and campaign tracking
- Develop innovative, new to Visa ways of delivering value to the Swiss market.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
- Experience working in a client facing position in marketing within Swiss payment industry
- Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience
- Proven track record in building and maintaining strong client relationships and experience in development of marketing concepts.
- Strong commercial and consultative selling skills with a focus on marketing strategy to drive impactful client outcomes that drive growth
- Experience of liaising with and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the business, as well as of building and maintaining relationships with external partners.
- Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
- Advertising and media agency management skills.
- Solid digital marketing experience incl. working Data and Insights
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Fluent in German and English
