Dangote Cement is currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Maintenance (Mechanical). As the Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance activities related to the mechanical aspects of our production facilities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the mechanical maintenance team, ensuring effective and efficient operation of machinery and equipment.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities to identify and address mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute maintenance projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance staff, ensuring continuous development of skills and knowledge.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to ensure the application of best practices in maintenance activities.
- Foster a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in maintenance management within the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Solid understanding of preventive maintenance methodologies.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to problem-solve and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and results-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Relocation to Nigeria, if not already based in the country.
