Role Overview:

 We are looking to hire someone for the Marketing/Media Labs function at Athena Education, a leading brand in study abroad admissions consulting. You will play a pivotal role in Athena’s 360-degree online and offline marketing endeavors. 

This dynamic and creative role is ideal for someone who enjoys a good challenge, likes engaging with people, and takes ownership and pride in their work, keeping the end result in mind.

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelors/Masters from Tier 1 college.
  • Min 3+ years of experience in marketing.
  • Past experience working with a premium brand is a plus.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Elevate Athena's brand globally by communicating our unique value proposition
    • Oversee all aspects of our brand image, ensuring brand messaging and aesthetics are consistent across every customer touchpoint.
    • Create a comprehensive marketing plan that integrates PR, digital and social media marketing, content creation, and advertising. 
  • Develop high-quality creative content
    • For reference, here are some examples of past videos:
    • Develop and maintain a content calendar
    • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
    • Develop and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
    • Research the latest trends in the foreign education space and translate key insights into actionable content pieces
    • Ideate, script, and perform for video content across various platforms
    • Creative supervision of video production for content and internal cross-team coordination as and when required
    • Coordinate with the design team for shoots and final release 
    • For reference, here are some examples of past videos:
    • Develop creative, humorous, “educating” video and graphic content that resonate with students around the world and help them in their application journey
    • Weave fun, cool social media, and digital-first concepts, ideas, and campaigns (video and static) based on strong consumer insights with potential for virality.
    • Create all non-digital marketing collaterals with the designer and the sales team.
  • Manage PR
    • Manage the timely completion of articles, PR memos, and develop talking points for the spokespeople
    • Develop and implement PR strategies that align with business objectives.
    • Coordinate with the PR agency for timely delivery of actionables and hold them accountable Lead Generation and Community Building: 
      • Develop and implement innovative growth strategies to attract new users, including referral programs, partnerships, or events. 
      • Foster a strong sense of community among students and alumni through online (social media, community forums, etc.) and offline (exclusive events and experiences) channels. 
      • Define metrics to measure the success of lead generation and community-building strategies, ensuring ongoing optimization.
      • Support performance marketing efforts by brainstorming appealing ad campaign narratives, scripting, shooting, and coordinating with the design team to release them, which will be run by the sales team.
      • Record and present testimonials in creative format through ads and different social mediums.
      • Oversee the process of marketing Athena’s impact with respect to college admissions and student transformation.

  • Event Planning and Execution
    • Specifically, plan a grand graduation ceremony for Athena’s students who are passing out and publicize it on social media
    • Plan, organize, and execute both online and offline events targeted at user acquisition, engagement, and brand promotion. 
    • You'll be in charge of defining the event concept, managing budgets, coordinating with vendors and partners, and overseeing the entire execution to ensure a seamless experience for our clients.

  • Data-Driven Decision-Making and Leadership: 
    • Develop a clear framework for tracking key performance indicators and work closely with the analytics team to monitor, analyze, and optimize performance.
    • Conduct cohort analysis, A/B testing, funnel analysis, and customer segmentation to inform strategy and drive growth.
  • Team Management:
    • Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing marketing team. Set clear team goals, manage project timelines, and ensure team members are supported in their professional growth.
    • Communicate with internal stakeholders regularly, ensuring alignment on growth objectives, strategies, and progress. This involves presenting marketing plans and performance reports to the founding team.
