About the Role:
The Manager, IT Operations & Technology role involves the management of day-to-day operations in our Beijing office, overseeing the deployment, maintenance, and configuration of a broad set of systems and networks across all Tubi offices. Collaboration with IT leadership in the US is essential. This role is pivotal in building and scaling our internal infrastructure, training team members on enterprise technologies, and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship
- Ensure Beijing employees adhere to all applicable Fox cybersecurity policies and standards
- Manage vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts, monitoring service levels, and ensuring compliance with agreements
- Assist with maintaining IT budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective use of resources
- Oversee office networks, AV, and security systems (Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto, Dell, Zoom Rooms, UniView)
- Help build, operate, and optimize networks and systems across various tech stacks and platforms to support both local and cloud environments
- Collaborate with other team members to understand their IT needs and requirements and develop and implement solutions to support their goals
Your Background:
- 5+ years of experience as a manager
- 10+ years of technical experience with cloud and local networking
- Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment while maintaining quality and productivity
- Demonstrated success in planning, driving, and supporting multiple concurrent projects and initiatives
- Flexibility to work varying hours to support special events and system maintenance windows
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to effectively escalate issues to appropriate stakeholders
- Experience in managing Linux and Mac systems within an enterprise environment
- Familiarity with the unique technical challenges of supporting a US-based company with employees located in Beijing
- Experience with implementing and supporting enterprise technologies, including Okta, Jamf, Firewalls, and VPN technologies
- Familiarity with API interfaces for SaaS applications (SOAP/REST) for automation purposes
- Proven scripting skills - Ruby, Python, Bash, PowerShell etc
- You actively contribute to improving team knowledge in a scalable way
- Strong English communication skills, capable of actively participating in various Tubi and Fox initiatives
Nice to Have:
- IPtables / Routing
- Expertise in at least one programming language for writing networking tools
- Experience with Ansible and Terraform
- Experience with Wireguard/Tailscale VPN
