Manager, HR Operations

We are looking for a manager to join our HR Operations team. HR Operations are a HR support function committed to delivering exceptional experiences through the ‘moments that matter’ in the employees’ lifecycle (Hire to Retire)  

In this role, you will be responsible for leading teams that support candidates, employees, alumni, and centres of excellence (COEs) Globally. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with exceptional experience in managing multi country HR services delivery in a shared service environment.  You should come with an in-depth understanding of Service transition, operational excellence, service delivery management, operational reporting, resource planning. You should be comfortable interacting with all levels, including management, regional leadership and cross functional partners.

Using your strong communication and data analysis skills, you'll effectively collaborate with a variety of people and job functions, juggling and accomplishing tasks of moderate to high complexity and are able to work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You're also able to analyse and anticipate the needs of your team, managers, stakeholders, and their projects. 

You will partner cross-functionally and globally to develop, define, and deliver services and standardized people processes.

Responsibilities

Service Transition  

  • Understands & reviews the larger Global business transition plan and share inputs on any potential risks. Collaborate with Project Manager on execution of transition plan for a seamless go-live.  

Service Delivery Management  

  • Own, enhance, and manage service delivery for Tier 1 processes. Effectively meet and/or exceed service benchmarks and provide exceptional customer service experience.  
  • Tracks core performance metrics and utilizes data to identify process gaps & improve performance. Execute risk reduction plan to address risks identified in FMEA. 
  • Drive process maturity to identify strengths and opportunity area , prioritize & implement improvement actions to ultimately improve maturity scores. 

Scale  

  • Drive process standardization, identify and address regional process exceptions. Work with the a) Tech partners on leveraging technology to automate the standardized process  b) Knowledge team on case deflection opportunities by enriching knowledge content      
  • Investigate, fix, and resolve complex issues that arise regarding policies, processes, and practices 

Partnerships & Communications  

  • Partner with regional management teams, SMEs, HR stakeholders and other partner teams (e.g., payroll, IT, Legal) on the process performance issues and escalations  
  • Collaborate with the regional SMEs to get resolution on process exceptions. You would act as the  primary contact for CWs and IC 1 on issues / exceptional situations related to process / business 
  • Manage dissemination of process and policy updates from the regional teams, work with IC3 on SOP revision, training, prepare team to deliver on new / revised processes 
  • Ensures there is a positive internal and external working relationship within the team and with our employees and partners by frequently communicating and soliciting feedback with all involved parties  

Develop  

  • Build and develop a high-performing team, its culture, its ways of working and operations while mentoring and coaching your team members to their highest potential 

Basic qualifications:  

  • 10+ years of experience in HR Operations with a strong background in managing process transition & delivering services in a HR shared services set up 
  • 6+ years of management and leadership roles 
  • Exposure on managing end to end centralization project & adoption of transition methodology  
  • Experience managing an organization supporting thousands of employees 
  • Experience building cross-functional partnerships and influencing stakeholders across GTO  
  • Exposure to process standardization & automation initiatives  

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Leadership presence with strong collaboration skills; able to articulate a value proposition and secure buy-in and support from key stakeholders 
  • Experience in verbal and written communicator with exceptional emotional intelligence 
  • Ability in solving complex customer issues that require in-depth data analysis and process understanding 
  • Understanding of HRIS systems design, HR reporting, workflow, and auditing requirements (experience with Smart Recruiters, Workday & Service Now strongly preferred) 
  • Experience in analytics, critical thinking, and reasoned judgment 
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment with limited data 
  • Mindset of continuous improvement, LEAN experience is an asset. 
  • Innovative thinking and solution-oriented 
  • Ability to manage multiple critical priorities without losing attention to detail or a positive attitude 
  • Relentlessly devoted to the ‘employee experience’ in all things
