ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage the technology transfer team, including engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Develop and implement detailed project plans for transferring HAMR technology to manufacturing.
- Coordinate with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
- Oversee the transfer of HAMR technology processes, equipment, and materials from the development stage to production lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Ensure the successful scaling of technology, maintaining performance standards and quality benchmarks.
- Establish and maintain quality control systems to ensure the reliability and performance of HAMR products.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively to ensure project success.

REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field. A Master’s or Ph.D. is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in technology transfer, manufacturing engineering, or a related role within the data storage or semiconductor industry.
- Proven experience in managing the transition of advanced technologies from development to high-volume manufacturing.
PREFERRED:
- Expertise in process development, optimization, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of process control and improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma.
- Experience in maintenance strategies, reliability engineering, and equipment lifecycle management to ensure manufacturing equipment operates at peak efficiency.
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in manufacturing, such as predictive maintenance, process optimization, and quality control.
- Experience with active alignment technologies and processes, particularly in the context of optical or magnetic components.
- Proficiency in laser soldering techniques, including setup, operation, and optimization for precision manufacturing applications.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and processes, such as laser soldering, advance packaging, or precision machining.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience in managing relationships with suppliers and equipment vendors.

- Advanced skills in process development, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Proficiency in using and managing high-precision equipment and technologies related to HAMR and manufacturing.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on data analysis and decision-making.
