About Team
Revenue sell side or category demand management team shapes demand at a category level
across customer, visibility and pricing levers. It manages day to day activities with close
interaction with category buy side teams. This team is a key driver for achieving platform
revenue and growth, at the same time, scaling the respective category’s revenue, by targeting a
specific profitability for the category
Roles & Responsibilities
Role:
Define and achieve the growth strategy for your category with a focus key horizontal projects.
This role involves working with multiple stakholders across teams while working on growth
hacks and building on strategic bets from a 3 year to 5 year growth for the platform.
Responsibilities:
● Responsible for driving the growth for the categories - by growing the brands on the
platform, increasing customer acquisition and retention for the categories
● Responsible for driving the merchandising strategy for the relevant horizontal projects by
driving the acquisition and retention targets for the categories and CRM strategy
● Responsible for driving the go-to-market for all launches and campaigns and events for
the project/category
● Responsible for closing & aligning traffic targets for the month across, Merch, CRM., Perf
and other channels etc.
● Develop a sharp understanding of the category, its customer cohorts, their drivers and
barriers to purchase online
● Use the customer understanding to co-create the right CVP and marketing RTBs
(Reasons to believe) for the project/category along with the category teams
● Set up various experiments to drive growth for the business in top of funnel
● Work closely with product tech teams to optimize for growth for the platform
Qualifications, Experience
● 3 - 4 years’ experience in e-commerce/high growth startup/ analytics fields will be an
added advantage
● Must manage multiple senior stakeholders independently
● High competency in written and verbal communication skills (preparation of business
documentation, presenting to senior stakeholders a must)
● Able to innovate on demand initiatives with category & industry first initiatives
● Able to work with others in a fast-paced, team environment and to interact effectively
with all levels of management.
● Results oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, can work
individually with minimal or no supervision
