About Team
You will be part of the “Finance Analytics” team at Myntra.
Finance Analytics is the part of the “Financial Planning and Analysis” (FP&A) team that works closely with CFO, FP&A head and all the other functions to enable and improve data driven decision making. The team uses structured problem solving approaches along with a wide range of statistical / machine learning / operations research techniques to create productized solutions for business teams to consume.
In addition to solving complex business problems through data, FP&A analysts also ensure that the right KPIs and visualizations are available for our stakeholders to track company and project performance. In essence, the Finance Analytics team is central to most decision making in the Finance organization and works on analytics problems across the DIPP spectrum using tools such as Python, R and SQL. The Finance Analytics team collaborates across the company to work on profitability initiatives, ROI investment framework, P&L and customer deep dive, Inventory health, Working capital, etc
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Enabling Month end closure & PL Reporting
- Understand and analyze the data to drive business insights.
- Create data visualization for easy consumption of data by management
- Work on business problems using data analytics and suggest implementable solutions
- Use machine learning and statistical techniques to do predictive analytics.
- Work with management team to create a prioritized list of needs for each business segment
- Identify and recommend new ways to save time by streamlining business processes.
- Work with departmental managers to outline the specific data needs for each business method analysis project
- Monitoring and providing feedback loop during execution of various initiatives
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong problem solving ability – The candidate needs to exhibit structured thinking, strong analytical skills and process orientation
- Proficient in Data analytics – The candidate should be proficient in Tableau,SQL, R and Python. Should be highly proficient in Excel; Knowledge of machine learning algorithms is preferred.
- Highly Action Oriented – Myntra as a culture has a strong bias for action and speed of implementation.
- A data analyst will need to own projects from conceptualization to execution
- Orientation / past background in Data Engineering is preferred, not mandatory.
