What You’ll Do
The Senior Manager of Food & Events Services is responsible for overall management of Café and On Site Events and provide support of employee experience, services, vendor management, financial management and project management with associated teams. This individual oversees café and event operations and works closely with the third party café operator.

Food Programs    

  • Oversee that high quality food items are creatively well prepared and presented in a cost effective manner in the Café

  • Responsible for creating, managing and forecasting café operating budgets with 3rd party provider

  • Responsible for analyzing monthly invoices, trend and cost per transaction, work closely with Samsung Finance Team

  • Devise policies, guidelines, and processes that optimize food operations and vendor SLA’s at a local level – standardizing operations.

  • Café Menu Reviews and Suggestion with 3RD Party provider

  • Drive and action data- driven insights and innovation to elevate user food and beverage experience and satisfaction

  • Provide daily operations support in expense tracking, invoice payments, creation of budget requests, purchase requests & purchase orders, PUMIs, and all other financial functions

  • Conduct periodic meetings with 3rd party service provider to discuss and verify all operational updates etc.

  • Work collaboratively with management, procurement, and legal department for approval on the new or revised contracts

  • Review quarterly and semi-annual reports for usage to verify and analyze order trends

  • Ensure compliance with all food and safety and security protocols

  • Support implementation of F&B Café Operations and Catering framework and governance models

  • Monitor and Manage all Repair and Maintenance Spend and Capital Planning for all Kitchen Equipment

  • Work with 3rd party provider to curate engaging and memorable pop up café events with wellness team, I;e Guest Chefs, Cooking Classes, Tastings, Latte and Coffee Classes 

Event Management: 

  • Support employee and operational requirements with a robust hospitality strategy for on-site meetings and events. 
  • Develop and maintain onsite Meeting and Event Standard Operating Procedures and Brand Standards and support any updates accordingly when applicable 
  • Devise and execute strategies to drive awareness, engagement, and employee experience 
  • Lead, plan, and manage events often including VIP events catering guests from HQ and ensure to deliver outstanding experience for industry and team leaders 
  • Develop event management schedules and standards aligned with business requirements for corporate events 
  • Oversee all aspects of event management including vendor management, equipment, scheduling, coordination, logistics, guest experience, catering, and furnishings. 
  • Oversee event management systems and develop efficient internal communication tools and workflow 
  • Develop reports utilizing system software to effectively present event related metrics including participation, survey results, and cost 
  • Manage event budget and work with Procurement for effective communication and processing as part of event planning 
  • Complete projects on time within budget 
  • Participate in development of programs and projects to increase efficiency of GA processes and operations 
  • Participate in the request for proposals, planning preparation, and administration of contracts 
  • Manage ad-hoc projects and programs as assigned 
  • Partner and collaborate with various operations groups and business partners 
  • Liaise with cross functional partners to; assist with reservations, catering orders, special request event printing etc. 
  • Assist with coordination for set up and execution of all meetings and events 
  • Approach all encounters with guest and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner. 
  • Monitor and analyze performance (engagement/ impressions) to advise team on strategic decisions to meet department goals.

 

What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in hospitality, business, facility, communications, or project/event management related fields

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in hospitality, business, facility, communications, or project/event management related field with 5-10+ years of relevant experience

  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Familiarity with hospitality, real estate, construction, operations, facilities, and office services functions, with direct experience in a food and beverage and event planning or customer service department preferred
  • Ability to learn internal systems
  • Critical thinker and proactively identify issues and propose solutions
  • Work well under pressure and within time constraints in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task with attention to details
  • Ability to build relationships with both internal and external customers including executives
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills

Within the base pay range, individual rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well.

 

Base Pay Range
$108,000$218,300 USD
